English Schools Championships |
 Lucy Hodgson (9A) competed in the high jump competiton at the English Schools National Track and Field Championships at Don Valley Stadium on 10th/11th July. She represented Rotherham Schools as a member of the South Yorkshire team.
29 athletes were involved in the high jump competition each representing their own County. In the first round on the Friday Lucy came equal first in pool A with a jump of 1.55m and qualified for the final on the Saturday. Only 12 girls made the final and Lucy finished 7th overall with a jump of 1.58m which equalled her personal best. She was also the highest placed athlete in the S Yorks Junior girls team as a whole.
